Issue: On certain vehicles, the tailgate panel may not be properly attached. As a result, the panel could separate from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A panel that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the tailgate panel.
